Registration Guide
Here are a few tips to help you select classes and register.
1. It is best to set up an account before you select courses. Go to My Account.
2. If you registered for any Perinatal Education classes between April 1 and December 8, 2009, call us at (403) 955-1450 to have your account enabled for online use. Office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday to Friday.
3. Take some time to look over our courses. You can find the list in your "From Here Through Maternity" book, or by viewing our online course calendar
4. When selecting classes, it is very important to consider your due date. To maintain the skills and confidence you will gain in your labour preparation classes, choose classes close to your due date. The following guidelines are recommended:
- For Birth & Babies, use the Birth & Babies due date guide
- For Childbirth Essentials, choose a series that finishes about 2-3 weeks before your due date.
5. For the Childbirth Essentials courses, depending on your schedule and due date, you can choose between:
- a six week (weeknight) series
- a four-week (Saturday afternoon) series
- two all day Saturday classes (Childbirth Essentials Express)
6. You can attend a class at any location as the classes are the same at all sites. If you are registering for Birth & Babies, choose according to your due date, not the classroom location.

8. Call the office at (403) 955-1450 if . . .
- Finances are a concern. You may qualify for FREE Childbirth Essentials.
- you are enrolled in either the Best Beginning, Healthy Families, Healthy Babies or Growing Opportunities programs
- you wish to be waitlisted for a full class
- you want to cancel or switch a class
- you need to pay for your class by cheque or cash
