Proud to Support Calgary Health Region Childbirth & Parenting Education:

Over 30 different courses are offered by Perinatal Education.  They include healthy lifestyles in pregnancy, preparing for childbirth, preparation for your new baby, parenting classes and lots more!  Classes are available for your whole family.  Some classes are free and others have a registration fee. 

Childbirth & Parenting Education  is one part of the Calgary Health Region's maternity care and service. The Childbirth Education Program is working with your physician and other Calgary Health Region maternity services to ensure that you will receive a "seamless" service and the most accurate and up to date information. Our care is based on Canadian guidelines for the nurturing and care of pregnant women and families.

Tips for a Healthy Pregnancy

• Learn how your body is changing and your baby is growing.
• Eat well to gain weight.
• Make healthy choices - avoid alcohol, smoking and street drugs.
• Balance activity and rest.
• Practice relaxation.
• Have early and regular prenatal care.
• Enjoy this special time in your life.
• Have confidence in your body's ability to grow, nourish and give birth to your new baby.
